Aragon Plus Filter Cartridge

The Aragon Plus Filter Cartridge uses an advanced SGS-polymer structure designed to provide multiple filtration mechanisms within a single cartridge.

Its filtration process combines:

• Mechanical filtration

• Adsorption

• Ion exchange

This allows the cartridge to target particulate matter alongside dissolved contaminants such as selected heavy metals and other unwanted compounds.

The solid-block media incorporates silver and ion-exchange resin granules and is designed to help reduce chlorine, chlorinated compounds, organic pollutants, dissolved and colloidal iron and selected hardness-related minerals. 

The Aragon Plus is suitable for compatible residential and commercial whole house filtration applications requiring strong contaminant reduction with high water flow.

Maximum flow rate: Up to 50 litres per minute

Filter capacity: Up to 60,000 litres

Aragon Plus Filter 10" x 4.5"

Designed for compatible 10-inch Big Blue / Big White whole house filter housings.

Maximum flow rate: Up to 25 litres per minute

Filter capacity: Up to 30,000 litres

The Aragon Plus differs from a conventional carbon cartridge by combining several filtration processes within one media structure.

Mechanical Filtration

The surface and internal media help capture suspended particles and sediment.

Adsorption

The media adsorbs selected organic contaminants, chlorine compounds and other unwanted substances.

Ion Exchange

Ion-exchange properties help target selected dissolved metals and other ionic contaminants.

The Aragon Plus Filter Cartridge can be used in Stage 2 or Stage 3 of a compatible multi-stage whole house filtration system.

Stage 2

When installed after a sediment cartridge, the Aragon Plus can provide advanced contaminant reduction targeting heavy metals, chlorine, chloramines and other unwanted compounds.

Stage 3

When used as the final stage, the Aragon Plus can provide an additional filtration and polishing stage before the water is distributed throughout the property.

The correct position depends on the overall filtration setup and the quality of the incoming water supply.

The Aragon Plus Filter Cartridge is designed for compatible Big Blue / Big White whole house and high-flow filtration systems.

Choose the cartridge size that matches your housing:

• 10" × 4.5"

• 20" × 4.5"

It can be used in compatible single-stage or multi-stage systems where the housing dimensions and cartridge specifications match.

The Aragon Plus can be used within appropriately configured filtration systems for residential and commercial water applications.

It can help improve water used for:

• Laundry

• Cleaning

• General household or workplace use

The brochure describes the cartridge as suitable for both potable and non-potable water applications when used within an appropriate filtration system. 

For tank, bore or other non-municipal supplies, the correct filtration and treatment setup should be selected according to the actual incoming water quality.

The Aragon Plus Filter Cartridge should be replaced every 12 months to help maintain water quality, flow and overall filtration performance.

Actual cartridge life may vary depending on:

• Incoming water quality

• Contaminant concentration

• Sediment levels

• Water usage

• Flow rate

• Cartridge size

• Overall filtration system design

The 10" cartridge has a published capacity of up to 30,000 litres, while the 20" cartridge has a published capacity of up to 60,000 litres. 

Water conditions or heavier usage may require replacement earlier than 12 months.
